A great moment in the movie "Before Sunset" Nothing special about it, but in the context, seems perfect!

Delusion Angel (from Before Sunrise)
Daydream delusion
Limousine Eyelash
Oh, baby with your pretty face
Drop a tear in my wineglass
Look at those big eyes
See what you mean to me
Sweet cakes and milkshakes
I am a delusion angel
I am a fantasy parade
I want you to know what I think
Don’t want you to guess anymore
You have no idea where I came from
We have no idea where we’re going
Launched in life
Like branches in the river
Flowing downstream
Caught in the current
I’ll carry you. You’ll carry me
That’s how it could be
Don’t you know me?
Don’t you know me by now?
Sounds great in the movie "Before Sunrise" when recited by the roadside poet! Have a look.

Back with my ponderings!
I have always wanted to read. The thought of reading a book leisurely, in a sit-out overlooking a garden, sipping green tea has been my imagination of the ultimate 'high life' :) But for the impatient me, taking on any read which can't be finished on a long haul flight or over the weekend, never works. My frantic search for books with less than 200 pages (oh, yeah!) are most often futile.
After a long time, I did taste what I consider 'high life' (minus the sit out overlooking the garden). I read and yeah... completed two books! The first one, Rashmi Bansal's "Poor Little Rich Slum," is a compendium of inspirational accounts from the Dharavi slum. A good read, but not spectacular. Leaves you with hope, which we all know, is a good thing :)
The second one - Shashi Deshpande's "Ships that Pass" is a good read too. The best writings, according to me, are those which present life as it is - not in black and white - but in gray. A riveting story, this one leaves us with good hope too and with mixed emotions.
Here is a quote from Henry Wadsworth, which forms the core of this aptly titled story and is a beautiful one...
We meet with people and bond with them and then move on in life, never to meet again.. like ships that pass!
It feels good to read and better still to write... hope this continues now!

Ships that pass in the night,
and speak each other in passing,
only a signal shown, and a distant voice in the
darkness;
So on the ocean of life, we pass and speak one another,
only a look
and a voice, then darkness again and a silence.
We meet with people and bond with them and then move on in life, never to meet again.. like ships that pass!
It feels good to read and better still to write... hope this continues now!
